ndrea Lee is one of the rising stars at the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first win at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee has been successful at every level, most notably at Standford University earning 9 wins throughout her college career, and playing for 17 weeks as the top Women's Amateur player across the World. After winning the Mark H. McCormack Award for the highest ranked women's amateur around the globe at the conclusion of the season in 2019, Lee decided to go pro. The former amateur champion Andrea Lee is now making a name for herself in the professional game. The American LPGA Tour athlete has several surprising information that you might not have known. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. James James started teaching her when she was 5 years old to play golf. When she was 8 years old She began competing at tournaments. In just four years, earned 50 junior titles. In 2014, the US Women's Open was her first cut. Her father accompanied her to the tournament at the age of 15 to work as a caddie. Lee missed her chance to make the LPGA Tour cut at the 2015 ANA Inspiration by just one shot. Lee was a member of the USA's Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup and women's World Amateur Team Championship. Lee became Stanford's most decorated golfer in the history of Stanford in 2016 when she received nine championships over the next three years. Lee completed her degree in 2018 quit Stanford University for the professional world. Her amateur career includes an entire 17-week stint as her World Amateur Golf Ranking leader. Lee won her the Mark H. McCormack award during the year 2019 following being the number one amateur. In her amateur career, Lee achieved four holes in one, and one albatross. Lee finished among the top 10 two times throughout her debut season on the LPGA Tour. She placed 7th during the 2022 AIG Women's Open at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee won her first LPGA Tour win in the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated her win to her late grandfather Min who always considered me a winner and believed in me from the beginning. She stated, "I was so grateful to him. I'm sure he's still looking over me." She has previously played the sport of soccer, taekwondo and figure skating. Lee's interests outside of golf are movies, shopping and singing. Lee also enjoys to ski.
